I joined the mentorship program because I was at a stage where I needed clarity about the direction I was heading in the biomechanics field. I had questions: am I thinking the right way? Am I focusing on the right aspects? I wanted to understand the fundamentals more deeply, especially the “why” behind what we do—not just following protocols, but truly grasping the cause-and-effect of movement.
Once in the program, the biggest win was clarity. I started thinking in a structured way, understanding cause and effect, and approaching problems with purpose. Everything was made so simple and practical—it wasn’t just theory, it was about real-world application. Practically, the most important shift was learning how to analyze gait—what to look for, how to break it down, and what to improve. Earlier, gait felt like a big, complex topic. But through this program, it became clear and approachable. That stood out for me.
Even in my own gait, the improvement was huge. If you see my before-and-after videos, it’s hard to believe it’s the same person. I also had a long-standing right leg issue—pain I’d lived with for 20 years—that got resolved in just 3 months.
What I think truly sets this program apart is its well-thought-out structure. The way everything is designed makes learning feel simple and approachable. For me, things that once felt complicated became easy to follow. Whether it was a plan, a concept, or an assessment, everything was broken down in a way that made sense and could be applied practically.
Having said that, I truly feel is that I gained much more from the mentorship program than I ever expected. I gained insights into how to structure sessions, what to observe during assessments, and how to analyze clients in real time, which is incredibly important when working with people. It helped me grow in multiple areas—from thinking better, to applying that thought practically, it refined how I work and how I see movement. The transformation wasn’t just physical — it was a mindset. It’s the kind of shift that isn’t always visible on the outside, but it shapes how you think, how you show up, and how you solve problems moving forward.
So, overall, my experience was truly wonderful. Things that once felt complicated became easy to follow. Whether it was a plan, a concept, or an assessment, everything was broken down in a way that made sense and could be applied practically, and for all of this, I’ll always be grateful to Sam—for simplifying what once felt complicated, and helping me move better, think better, and grow.
